Visa-free travel to some of the territories of Brest and Grodno region

In accordance with Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of December 26, 2017 No. 462 starting from January 1, 2018 several territories of Brest and Grodno region are visa-free areas, where citizens of the following 77 countries can enter and stay up to 10 days with tourist purposes:

Australia, Austria, Albania, Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vanuatu, Great Britain, Hungary, Vietnam, Haiti, Gambia, Germany, Gonduras, Hong Kong (Xianggang) – special administrative region of China, Greece, Denmark, Dominica, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Cyprus, China, South Korea, Kuwait, Latvia (including persons with Latvia stateless status), Lebanon, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malaysia, Malta, Order of Malta, Mexico, Federated States of Micronesia, Monaco, Namibia, Netherlands, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Samoa, San-Marino, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, the USA, Uruguay, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Chile, Switzerland, Sweden, El Salvador, Estonia (including stateless persons, residing on the territory of Estonia), Japan. 

 

Tourist area “Brest”  


Tourist area “Brest” is located on the territories of Brest city, Brest district, Zhabinkovski district, Kamenetsky district, Pruzhanski district, Svislochski district.

Entry and exit from tourist area “Brest” is possible via the following border checkpoints:

- the airport of Brest city (air);

- Brest-Terespol (automobile, railway);

- Domachevo-Slovatitchi (automobile);

- Peschatka-Polovtsy (automobile);

- Pererov-Belovezha (cycling, pedestrian).

Tourist park “Avgustov Canal” and surrounding territories

 

Tourist park “Avgustov Canal” and surrounding territories are located on the territories of Grodno city and Grodno district.

Entry and exit to tourist park “Avgustov Canal” and surrounding territories is possible via the following border checkpoints:

- Grodno airport;

- Grodno-Kuznitsa Belostotskaya (railway);

- Bruzgi-Kuznitsa Belostotskaya (automobile);

- Lesnaya-Rudavka (waterway);

- Privalka-Raigardas (automobile);

- Privalka-Shviandubre (waterway).

Entry to the Republic of Belarus. 

 

To enter tourist area “Brest” or tourist park “Avgustov Canal” without visa a foreign tourist should at least 48 hours before the planned trip address one of the certified travel agencies and buy a tourist services package. After purchasing this package an agency will make a document, which provides the right for individual or group visit to the visa-free area. This document will be sent to a tourist (a group of tourists) via email or any other means of communication.

A document, which provides the right for individual or group visit of the visa-free area should be with a tourist during the whole trip. In case of its loss a copy can be printed out by a tourist himself or by a travel agency, which initially issued it.

At passport control on entering Belarus foreign tourist are required to have the following documents:

- national passport;

- a document, issued by a travel agency, which provides the right for individual or group visit to tourist area “Brest” or tourist park “Avgustov Canal” and surrounding territories;

- medical insurance;

- financial means – 49 Belarusian rubles (approximately 22 euros) for each day of stay in Belarus (in Belarusian rubles or in foreign currency);

Entering by car a driver should have the original insurance certificate, valid on the territory of Belarus, which confirms the liability insurance in the member-state of Green Card System.

 

 

Stay and departure from Belarus 

 

When staying in Belarus for 5 and more calendar days foreign tourists should register in local offices of citizenship and migration. When staying in hotels, hostels, sanatoriums and other collective accommodation facilities the registration is carried out by the administrations of such facilities by default upon check-in. When staying less than 5 calendar days the registration is not required.

At passport control on departure the foreign tourists are required to have the following documents:

- national passport;

- a document, issued by a travel agency, which provides the right for individual or group visit to tourist area “Brest” or tourist park “Avgustov Canal” and surrounding territories.
