Days of Culture of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Belarus
29.10.2017On 23 – 26 October 2017 the Days of Culture of the United Arab Emirates were held in Minsk. Emirati delegation during the visit to Belarus was headed by the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development for Arts, Culture and Antiquities H.E. Hakam Al Hashemi.
On 23 October 2017 at the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the UAE in the Art Gallery named after Mikhail Savitsky in Minsk the Minister of Culture of Belarus H.E. Yuri Bondar and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE in the Republic of Belarus H.E. Ahmed Mohammed Al Tenaiji gave speeches.
Within the framework of the Days of Culture in the Art Gallery named after Mikhail Savitsky the works of Emirati artists were presented, an exhibition of Arabic calligraphy, folk crafts and arts presentations as well as the national Emirati dress show were held.
On 25 October 2017 on the stage of the Belarusian State Philharmonic a joint concert of classical and folk music with participation of the State Chamber Orchestra of Belarus and artists from the UAE was held followed by performance of the national ensemble of the UAE. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus H.E. Andrei Dapkiunas gave a welcoming speech. At the end of the concert in the Belarusian State Philharmonic a Diplomatic Reception organized by the Embassy of the UAE in Belarus on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Belarus and the United Arab Emirates was held.
On 26 October 2017 the national ensemble of the UAE visited the City of Mogilev and performed in one of the orphanages and on the stage of the Mogilev Regional Methodological Center for Folk Art and Cultural and Educational Work.
