UAE ice hockey team takes part in the International Christmas Tournament in Minsk

On 4-7 January 2017 in the city of Minsk at the invitation of the President’s Sports Club of the Republic of Belarus and with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the UAE the ice hockey team of the United Arab Emirates for the third time takes part in the International Christmas Amateur Ice Hockey Tournament for the Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

An official UAE delegation consisting of the leadership of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, UAE Ice Sports Federation and Abu Dhabi Ice Sports Club is also on a visit to the Republic of Belarus to attend the Christmas Tournament.

This year eight hockey teams from different countries, including Belarus, Germany, Russia, Slovakia, United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Finland as well as the Balkan team participate in the tournament. The Republic of Belarus is traditionally represented by the ice hockey team of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
