Belarus took part in “Gulfood-2018” in Dubai

The largest in the region of the Middle East international exhibition of agricultural and food products and beverages “Gulfood-2018” opened in Dubai on February 18, 2018.

In 2018 with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the United Arab Emirates representatives of such Belarusian companies as “Minsk Milk Factory No 1”, “Minsk Soft Drinks Plant”, “Bellakt”, “Santa Bremor”, “Santa Impex Brest”, “Yeast Plant”, “Servolux Agro”, “Lida Milk Canning Plant”, “Slonim Meat Processing Plant”, “Praymilk”, “Gluboksky Milk Cannery”, “Kalinkovichi Dairy Plant” presented at the National pavilion of the Republic of Belarus.

Along with food and beverages producers the official delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus H.E. Igor Brylo participates in the exhibition. On February 19, 2008 Belarus’ Deputy Minister holds talks with Dr. Majid Sultan Al Qassimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Food Diversity Sector of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE. During the meeting the both sides discussed matters of the accreditation of Belarusian entities that gives them additional ability for supplying food products to the Gulf region.

In recent years the active work of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus and the Embassy of Belarus in the UAE have created favorable conditions for enterprises and organizations of the Republic of Belarus to enter to the capacious Emirati food market, as the result, the export of Belarusian food products to the UAE has increased in six times.
