On Ambassador's participation in IRENA General Assembly16.01.2023
On January 14, 2023, Andrey Luchenok, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the United Arab Emirates, took part in the events of the 13th session of the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency IRENA.
In his speech, the Ambassador announced the position and achievements of the Republic of Belarus in the development of renewable energy sources, as well as the contribution of our country to the prevention of global climate change.
The current IRENA General Assembly is being held under the slogan “Energy Transitions in the World — Global Assessment” in preparation for the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-28), which will be held in the UAE in late November — early December 2023. Currently IRENA members are 168 countries, including the Republic of Belarus.
