Ambassador met with UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment

On October 20, 2016 H.E. Belarus Ambassador Roman Golovchenko met with H.E. Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment.

Key elements of the meeting were issues of implementation of agreements reached during the visit to the UAE by the Belarusian delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food at February 2016 as well as further promotion of the Belarusian agricultural export to the Emirati market.



The parties discussed issues of mutual recognition of health certificates, inspection of belarusian meat-processing factories as well as Emirati investments into agricultural sector of the Republic of Belarus.

The parties separately touched issues related to exchange of experience in environment monitoring and cooperation in geological survey of water reserves.

It was agreed that relevant delegation of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment will visit Belarus in the nearest future in order to further explore the discussed topics.
