The first meeting of the Belarus-UAE Parliamentary Friendship Group

On July 20, 2020 the first meeting (via video conference) of the Belarus-UAE Parliamentary Friendship Group was held.

The Belarusian side was headed by Sergei Rachkov, Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Foreign Affairs and National Security, while the Emirati Side was headed by Osama Al Shafar, member of the Financial, Economic and Industrial Committee in the UAE Federal National Council.

During the meeting the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of the Belarusian-Emirati parliamentary cooperation as well as determined further steps for the expansion of the dialogue between the parliamentarians of Belarus and the UAE.

The meeting was attended by Andrei Luchenok, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the UAE.
