Belarus delegation took part in the 8th Session of the IRENA Assembly

On January 13- 15, 2018 delegation of the Republic of Belarus headed by Mr. Mikhail Malashenko, Deputy Chairman of the State Standardization Committee of the Republic of Belarus – Director of the Department for Energy Efficiency took part in the 8th Session of the Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency organized in Abu Dhabi.
During the Assembly Mr. Mikhail Malashenko made a statement on the measures being taken by the Republic of Belarus to develop renewable energy sector and on the need to consolidate international efforts for the analysis, forecasting and exchange of information as well as held a number of meetings with the heads of foreign delegations participated in the Assembly.
On January 15, 2018 the Belarusian delegation took part in the opening ceremony of the World Future Energy Summit and the awarding ceremony of the «Zayed Future Energy Prize», visited thematic exhibition pavilions devoted to renewable energy sources and sustainable development issues.
