Science and Technology Cooperation

Belarus and Saudi Arabia witness successful development of cooperation in the sphere of science. In November 2008 in Dubai (UAE) the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology signed an Agreement for the establishment of a Joint Center of Excellence in the field of new materials and energy. 

On the basis of the signed Agreement on cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology joint contracts worth more than 18 million USD are being implemented. A range of joint projects with subsidiary organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is under consideration by the Saudi Side.

In May 2016 during the second meeting of the Joint Committee on Cooperation an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on cooperation in the field of science and technology was signed.

The Exhibition of Belarus’ scientific achievements held in October 2017 in Riyadh. The opening ceremony of the Exhibition had been holding with the presence of the Chairman of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the President the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.
