Trade and Economic Cooperation
Trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is developing dynamically. The parties maintain regular dialogue on expanding mutual trade, implementing joint initiatives, developing interdepartmental cooperation and strengthening direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries.
In 2012, the intergovernmental Joint Committee on Cooperation was established, co-chaired by the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries. The first meeting of the Joint Committee was held in Riyadh in 2015. The second meeting took place in Minsk in 2016. The third meeting of the Joint Committee was held in Riyadh in May 2024.
Cooperation between the business communities of the two countries is developing. In 2016, the Belarusian-Saudi Business Forum and a business matchmaking session were held in Minsk under the auspices of the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries. In May 2024, another Belarusian-Saudi Business Forum was organized on the sidelines of the Joint Committee meeting.
In December 2025, within the framework of the visit of the Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus to Riyadh, the Belarusian-Saudi Forum on Information and Communication Technologies was held, bringing together more than 60 representatives of the business communities of Belarus and Saudi Arabia.
An important area of bilateral trade and economic cooperation is mutual participation in exhibitions and fairs. Belarusian enterprises regularly present domestic products at key sectoral exhibitions in Saudi Arabia. In May 2025, Belarusian products were showcased at Saudi Plastics & Petrochem, an international exhibition for the petrochemical industry, and in September 2025 at Foodex Saudi, an international food industry exhibition held in Riyadh.
In 2025, delegations from the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visited the Republic of Belarus to participate in MILEX, the International Exhibition of Arms and Military Equipment. Representatives of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visited Belarus to attend BELAGRO, the International Specialized Exhibition
