Trade and economic cooperation
Trade, economic and investment cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the United Arab Emirates has been developing positively.
Meetings of the Joint Committee for Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the United Arab Emirates are held on a regular basis. The sixth meeting of the Joint Committee took place on June 22, 2023, in Abu Dhabi.
Belarus participated in World Expo 2020, which was held from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, in Dubai. As part of Belarus National Day at Expo 2020, the Belarus Investment Forum was held on November 22, 2021.
An important milestone in the development of bilateral economic cooperation was the signing in June 2025 in Minsk, on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum 2025, of the Economic Partnership Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and its member states, of the one part, and the United Arab Emirates, of the other part, as well as the intergovernmental Belarus-UAE Agreement on Trade in Services and Investment.
Cooperation between the business communities of the two countries is developing. In May 2014, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum on the establishment of the Belarus-UAE Business Council. Three meetings of the Business Council have been held.
In June 2026, during the visit of the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, to the Republic of Belarus, the Belarus-UAE round table was held at the Belagro exhibition, bringing together more than 50 representatives of the business communities of the two countries.
Investment cooperation is developing actively. UAE companies are implementing major investment projects in the Republic of Belarus. In December 2025, the construction of a multifunctional hotel complex in Minsk, located within the boundaries of M. Bogdanovich Street, Y. Kupala Street and the Svisloch River, was completed. The large-scale Northern Waterfront project is also being implemented in Minsk
