Trade and economic cooperation

At the end of 2021, the export of goods from the Republic of Belarus to the State of Kuwait increased and amounted to 2.9 million US dollars. There is a positive foreign trade balance of over $2.5 million.

In 2021, the export of services to Kuwait increased compared to 2020 and amounted to 1.5 million US dollars, it was based on transport, tourism and financial services.

Cooperation between Belarus and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) is an important component of the bilateral economic relations. In January 2021, a loan agreement was signed with the Fund on the allocation of funds for the construction of an Oncological hospital in the Grodno Region. Currently the sides are considering  possibilities of joint implementation of socially oriented projects in Belarus. 

There is a Joint Belarusian-Kuwait Commission on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation. In November 2009, the first meeting of the commission was held in El-Kuwait. In September 2014, the second meeting of the commission took place in Minsk.
