On the new requirements of the Emirati halal standards training

On September 4, 2023, in Minsk, as a part of the work to simplify the conditions for access of the Belarusian food products to the markets of countries in the region, a training was held on key changes in the new versions of the UAE standards used to assess the compliance of exported food with halal standards.

The training was organized by the Belarusian State Accreditation Center of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus with the direct participation and assistance of the Accreditation Department of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the UAE.

More than 40 participants from Belarus and a number of CIS countries took part in the training in person and via videoconference, including representatives of the Belarusian State Accreditation Center, manufacturing enterprises planning to export products to the countries of the Islamic world and authorities for halal certification.

During the training, practical examples were used to examine the specifics of applying the new requirements of the standards and provide comprehensive answers to questions from participants. UAE experts highly appreciated the Belarusian approach to ensuring compliance with the UAE requirements that apply to halal products.
