On the Day of Grodno region at EXPO 2020

On March 28, 2022, the Day of Grodno Region was held in the Belarus pavilion at EXPO 2020, which completed a series of presentations of the potential of the regions of Belarus and the city of Minsk during EXPO 2020.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Vitaly Nevera. The delegation included representatives of the administration of the FEZ “Grodnoinvest”, UE “Grodno branch of the BelCCI”, the branch “Plant Khimvolokno” of OJSC “Grodno Azot”, OJSC “Dairy World”, OJSC “Grodno Meat Processing Plant”, OJSC “Slonim Meat Processing Plant”, LLC “Primemilk”, LLC Stroybyt-ZOV, SOJSC Vilaris, Museum Castle Complex Mir, “Studio Rest” company, which demonstrated a number of presentations on investment opportunities, potential of the region in the food and petrochemical industries, implementation of construction works and tourism services. The event was also attended by Ambassador of Belarus to the UAE Andrei Luchenok and Consul General of Belarus in Dubai Evgeny Lazarev.

At the site of the Belarusian pavilion the negotiations were held between representatives of the Grodno region and Emirati trading partners, during which they discussed cooperation in the supply of meat and dairy products, polyamide and polyester yarns and fibers to the UAE, as well as arranging tourism to Belarus and implementing joint investment projects.

At the end of the event documents on cooperation with companies from the UAE and other countries were signed.
