On the visit of the Minister of Justice of Saudi Arabia to Belarus

On February 24 – 27, 2024 Dr. Waleed bin Mohammed Al-Samaani, the Minister of Justice, the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visited the Republic of Belarus.

Meetings were held with Sergei Khomenko, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus as well as Valentin Sukalo, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus. A round table on the activities of the Ministries of Justice of Belarus and Saudi Arabia was organized.

Issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the legal and judicial spheres were discussed, such as the provision of legal assistance in criminal matters and extradition of criminals, training and refresher training of judges, exchange of experience in the area of court system development, including digitalization of the work of courts.

A roadmap for cooperation in the legal field for the years 2024-2025 was signed.
