On the visit of Belarus Minister of Interior to the UAE

On October 2, 2023 His Excellency Ivan Kubrakov, Minister of Interior of the Republic of Belarus started his working visit to the United Arab Emirates.

A meeting took place between the Minister of Interior Ivan Kubrakov and the Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Interior of the UAE His Highness Sheikh Seif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In the course of the meeting the two sides signed the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of security and counter-terrorism, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding on the issue of mutual recognition and exchange of drivers’ licenses. The Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding will come into force after the Belarusian and UAE sides complete the necessary internal procedures.

The most promising areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of security and counter-terrorism were discussed, as well as partnerships in other relevant areas of law enforcement activities of mutual interest.
